My Thoughts on this beautiful Sabbath Day!

I was setting here this evening, thinking, as my husband is watching the Miami Heat game on TV......What do you do on the Sabbath Day? Some people shop or go out to eat. Others go to sporting events or do yard chores. Me and my family.....we attend Church! You see, as I mentioned before, my family is Latter-Day Saint. Today was one of those Sunday's that I was very grateful that we, as a family do keep the Sabbath Day holy. The Spirit that is felt by keeping the commandments of the Lord is one of the sweetest feelings that one can ever feel in this lifetime. Today, we were blessed to hear from our speakers about Missionary work and the blessings that it can bring into one's life. Not just someone who is already a member of the Church, but to all that we come into contact with. I take great joy in doing Missionary work whenever I possibly can. It may be something as simple as a letter in the mail to a sick Sister in my Branch to make her feel better and to lift her spirits. My husband has recently challenged us as a family to go out with our Sister Missionaries to meet with Investigators to share our Testimonies of the Gospel and how the Gospel has blessed our lives! I am grateful and thankful for his wisdom and counsel everyday of our Eternal Marriage! I know that as I heed the counsel of my husband and of the Lord, my life will be richly blessed! I am ever so grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I am grateful for all that I have, all the Lord has seen fit to bless me with. I am grateful for my husband and my wonderful children and beautiful grand children. I bear my testimony that Jesus is the Christ and that he stands at the head of this wonderful Church, that President Thomas S. Monson is a Prophet of God on this earth today and that I know in my heart that this church is true and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ,
                                                          Amen.
